We are glad you found us!
Kids of Promise
Preschool is a Christian Preschool
dedicated to the mental, physical, social and
spiritual development of children. The goal of
our school is to provide a quality educational
program that challenges and encourages children
to achieve their fullest potential. We recognize
each child as a unique gift from God to each of
his or her parents, and we pledge to always show
God’s love by our words and deeds. Therefore,
each teacher and teacher’s aid has been chosen
to reflect the ideas and goals of the school. We
teach Christianity, not doctrine in our school.
We admit students of any race, color, religion,
or nationality.

The
Early Learning Coalition of Broward County has
certified Kids of Promise Preschool as a
Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Provider.
The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program is
a State of Florida based program designed to
prepare four-year-olds for kindergarten and
build the foundation for their educational
success. The program allows a parent to enroll
his or her eligible child (four years old by
September 1 and residing in Florida) in a free
VPK program. The VPK program is FREE for
eligible children, regardless of family income.
Kids of Promise’s VPK program is 180 days
(similar to a school-year calendar), it offers 3
hours (9:00am-12:00pm) of instruction each day
to meet the VPK’s 540-hour requirement. The 3
instructional hours are paid by the VPK program
and are free to the parent. For a reasonable
weekly fee, we offer extended care hours for
both, full-time students (12:00pm-6:15pm) and
part-time students (12:00pm-2:00pm), including
snacks and lunch.
You may pre-apply for the VPK program at
www.vpkflorida.org. Parents are encouraged to
check the website periodically for updates. Once
you complete the pre-application, your local
early learning coalition will contact you for
further information and to assist you in
completing the application process. If you have
any questions, you can find the contact
information for your local coalition by clicking
on the link “Where do I go for VPK information
in my area?” and selecting the county in which
you live.

Kids
of Promise Preschool provides a "quality
Christian preschool" experience. Each
family probably would define the term "quality
child care" somewhat differently. It is a term
that is hard to pin down, but there are some
universal characteristics of good, sound child
care programs:
∙ An
environment that is attractive and safe; not too
tidy, not too cluttered.
∙ Interesting and varied materials and equipment
that are accessible to the children.
∙ Happy children who are moving about, busily
engaged in a variety of activities.
∙ Teachers/providers who are responsive and
sensitive to the children's needs and who
provide constant supervision.
∙ Activities that offer lots of social
interaction and are intellectually as well as
physically challenging.
∙ Discipline techniques that help children learn
appropriate behavior while showing respect and
caring.
∙ Plenty of time for children to make choices
and create their own play.
∙ A balance of active and quiet times and
places.
∙ Teachers/providers who are well educated and
trained in child development. |

When you think about early
childhood education, don’t imagine rows of
chairs and desks and lots of homework. Instead,
picture kids doing what they love most.
Exploring. Playing. Talking. Giggling. A child’s
natural curiosity is the greatest motivation to
learn. Our curriculum makes learning fun by
engaging each child in hand’s on learning,
incorporating age appropriate concepts in all
aspects of play. Whether through a game, a song,
or even having lunch, these activities are all
used as teaching opportunities. The whole day is
filled with developmentally appropriate and fun
activities in which children will develop
intellectually, physically, socially, and
spiritually (see sample schedule at left).
Leaving your child in someone else’s care for
eight hours a day, means that it is important
that you find a place where your child’s needs
are met, and where you have confidence that they
will be well cared for in a positive, loving,
and safe environment, in which they can develop
to their full potential during this vital stage
of development. For this reason we offer age
appropriate curriculum from A Beka, which is
carefully designed to help stimulate your child
to grow mentally, and spiritually. The
curriculum is integrated with Montessori style
centers and activities, which enhances your
child’s learning experience and helps them
develop physical and social skills. We have a
staff of well-trained teachers. Your child’s
safety is one of our primary concerns. We offer
balanced meals, bright clean facilities, and
exciting playgrounds.
We love children, and we love teaching children.
We look forward to the opportunity of partnering
together with you to provide an enjoyable and
valuable childcare experience for you and your
children. |
